UPDATE! A Community of Support: How the Give!Guide Helped Transform Lives at NVSS

At Napa Valley Support Services (NVSS), we believe that every person deserves the opportunity to thrive, express themselves, and connect with their community.

Thanks to the generosity of our Give!Guide donors in 2024, we were able to provide crucial supplies and resources that helped people with disabilities in Napa gain independence, build skills, and find meaningful opportunities.

With the funds raised during our second year in the Give!Guide, we:

  • Empowered Job Seekers: Through our Napa Personnel employment services, individuals gained access to essential work tools, transportation support, and job coaching, allowing them to secure and maintain employment in Napa. The confidence that comes with having a steady job is life-changing, and we saw firsthand how these opportunities led to greater independence and self-sufficiency.
  • Expanded Creative Expression:  At Brown Street Gallery, artists with disabilities had the chance to explore new and updated art mediums, from mixed-media collages to digital design. These resources unlocked new avenues for creativity, self-expression, and even career opportunities for our talented artists.
  • Enhanced Community Engagement:  At our Imperial Way program, funds were used to purchase meaningful supplies that helped individuals develop life skills and navigate the community more independently. From assistive devices to travel training materials, these resources broke down barriers and opened doors to greater participation in the vibrant Napa community.

Despite a shorter fundraising window and the unpredictability of an election year, we were over the moon to (barely!) surpass last year’s total. Every dollar made a difference, and every donor played a role in supporting these essential programs.

The Give!Guide isn’t just a fundraising campaign—it’s a movement that builds a more inclusive, connected Napa. Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible! We can’t wait to see what we accomplish together in 2025.
