How We Impact the Community
For your enjoyment and entertainment, we continue our unique approach to providing exciting traditional choral music, premieres of new compositions by contemporary composers, and music from a myriad of cultures and genres. Our vocalists range from teenagers to senior citizens. Under the professional artistic direction of Jan Lanterman, each year we present two major choral masterworks, two themed popular music concerts as well as salons which present opportunities for chorus members and professional guest artists to perform solos and as ensembles in front of appreciative audiences. Our concerts feature professional live instrumentalists and are performed in both formal and non-traditional venues and locations throughout the Napa Valley.
As a vibrant intergenerational community chorus, we have studied and performed a vast number of choral works in a wide variety of musical styles annually since our founding in 1963.Many remember us by our previous names (Napa Valley Choral Society, and later Napa Valley Chorale), but we are the same great organization, currently in its 61st season serving the Napa Valley.
