How We Impact the Community

NVCH provides affordable homes and transforms the lives of 3000+ local children, families, seniors and farmworkers annually through our permanently affordable homes, HomeSharing Program, and Resident Services. We have 210 new affordable homes in predevelopment and 118 homes under rehabilitation in 2024; these residences are located throughout Napa, St. Helena, and Calistoga. Last year, the HomeSharing program received 3,349 inquiries, interviewed 853 clients, and found homes for 85 Home Seekers, including 7 homeless/soon-to-be homeless individuals. There is much need for our services.

In addition, the support of NVCH extends beyond procuring housing. Our Resident Services team offers ongoing educational, medical, and wellness support. Last year, 3,107 attendees joined 389 classes in 18 different subjects hosted by our team. Last year we assisted 15 residents in securing rental assistance due to loss of income and supplemented NVCH residents’ food budgets with 70 bread and 96 general food deliveries. We also guide residents to appropriate government services, as well as other nonprofit agencies, when needed.
